Contractors Chart of Accounts and Item Setup Samples

QB has standard industry specific accounts that will be set up when you choose your Industry in the Easy Setup Interview, just add or delete as needed according to information you will need for your tax return.  I would caution that you map things out on paper prior to adjusting the chart of accounts or items.  Also realize that the items list will take care of your needs as far as job costing, that should not be done via the chart of accounts. I am available if you need assistance, just visit my website or contact me.
The amount of detail used for Chart of Accounts is dependent on your needs for FINANCIAL information detail.
